Obituary of John Everett Skinner

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, John Everett Skinner, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 14, 2009, at the age of 78 years. John was born August 24, 1931 to George and Mary Skinner on the farm south of Chauvin. John got his education at Butzeville school. He worked for his brother Arvid in his early years, Ervin Dahl and then Simon Pilgaard on the farm where he eventually bought with his brother-in-law Martin Pilgaard. John married the love of his life Patricia Pilgaard November 21, 1953. They had five children, Jennifer, Cy, Mike, Janie, & Blaine. John enjoyed mixed farming. He grew a variety of crops, had beef cattle and began a dairy operation that continued for 37 years. John loved the land and the nature and wildlife that went with it. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed passing on his talented skills to his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. John will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Pat; children, Cy(Carolyn) & their children, Patrick(Bonnie) and their daughter Sarah; Kristy(Jamie) and their daughter Katie; Matthew(Rhonda); Mike(Joanne) & their children, Tracie(Craig) and their children Bailey & Jesse; Erin(Graham) and their children, Rylan, Leah & Autumn; Bryan(Renae); Janie(Ernie) Crawford & their children, John; Tristan(Theo) and their children Owen & Sadie; Amy; Blaine(Sandra) & their children, Jennifer(Alex) and their daughter Macayla; Jason(Felicia); Michelle(Mike) and their son Benjamin; Cody; Zachary; Joshua; brothers, George, Stewart(Lillian); sisters in law, Evelin, Jenny, Anna(Doug), Sheila, Margaret and Donna; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
