I am very saddened by the news of Don’s passing. My condolences to Brenda and all of Don’s family. I first met Don at Dillberry Lake and have been fortunate enough to be his friend and one of his hunting buddies. Don always had a plan on how to outsmart the big buck. Don’s friendship, generosity and love of life will be greatly missed.

Thinking of you all in the loss of your husband, father, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and friend. It is hard to believe that such a "bright" light in this world has gone out. Don was larger than life...so positive, enthusiastic, social, down to earth and real as he always spoke his mind yet was a gentle soul. I reflect on all the happy times our families spent together. There are memories that follow one through life and the times with the Chapmans are such memories. What fun we had at picnics at Dilberry, Sunday night dinners, ball games, competitive pool games, and Christmas eves. I remember Don as a "governing" body trying to keep us all on task and getting the rules straight..not easy with all those brothers! My husband remembers how welcoming Don was to him when I first brought Wayne back to Chauvin to meet everyone. May Don's legacy be in the hearts he has touched and his contribution to this world.

To Brenda, Janessa, Jocelynn, and the rest of Don's family, My sincere condolences to you for the loss of Don. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. His passing has brought on a period of reflection about time spent with him. Whether it was growing up down the road from him or sharing rides home from a summer day of work at Dillberry, he had a big impact on me. His laugh, seeing and hearing about his passions (hunting! the land, his family), his kind and patient nature; they are all things that will always stand out in my mind. He had an upbeat approach to almost everything that was infectious. It was rare to experience Don being frustrated but then again, he was working with young 'uns and there was always potential for stupidity, somewhere, and it seems his patience for that was limited! :) All in all, I see that he was a man who affected many lives, in wonderful ways. He will be remembered and missed by all, including me.

We were so sad to hear of Don's passing. In talking with Keith he said he always loved hunting with Don as he was such an experienced hunter with great respect for safety and the animals, and we all loved the times sitting around the table at lunch telling stories. He had such a hearty laugh and loved life and his family deeply. Our thoughts are with you.

I was extremely saddened to hear of Don's passing. He was one-of-a-kind. When I think of Don, his awesome genuine personality comes to mind. He was a great neighbour to have growing up on the farm, and I always always looked forward to a joke or two if I ran into him on my now infrequent trips "home". I have to mention though that some of the best memories I carry with me of Don are from the summer he was the "Big Boss" when I was hired on as part of the maintenance crew out at Dilberry. His "Don Rules" lunch hour football games (he was notorious for making up the rules as the game went along) and booming laugh will live on forever in my mind. My sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Brenda, Jocelynn, Janessa and the entire Chapman Family on your loss. He will certainly be missed.

Brenda and Girls and all of Dons family. We are so sorry for the loss of your Husband, Dad, Brother and Uncle. Don was a big man with an even bigger heart. He was a great neighbor who always had time for a roadside chat and BS session. It always seemed like he knew when we needed a helping and it seemed no matter what he was doing, always had time to help the neighbors out. The boys loved it when Don stopped in for whatever reasons. We are so glad that they all got the chance to know Don and his larger than life personality. Please know that we are greiving with you and we are smiling about all the good memories and laughs e have had with Big Don C. God Speed Don and we will all meet up again some day.

To my dear friends Brenda, Jocey, Davin, Janessa and Ryan. No words can describe why Don was taken so young! Such a great friend, Always had your back no matter the situation. A truer Flames fan there never was, So in your honor I will wear my Flames Jersey. Church will never be the same without that deep burly voice! Nor the dance floor with that wide sweep! Heaven sure gained a good one! God speed Don!
