Emmanuel Peter was born January 23, 1913 in the Grosswerder district of Saskatchewan. He married Betty Feser in 1939, and together they farmed in the Grosswerder district until 1976, when they retired to Provost, Alberta. After celebrating his 97th birthday on January 23, he passed away peacefully on January 30, 2010. Amos leaves to mourn his children, Delphine DeGrande, Celine (Milton) Makarowski, Eldon (Elaine) Schechtel, Gwen (Vince) Wiesner, Carol (Jim) Blume, Eric (MaryLou) Schechtel, Kathy (Bill) Nixon and Brenda (Paul) Stempfle; 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Angelica Deck; sister-in-law, Agnes Schechtel. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty on June 5, 2009; parents, John & Annie; brothers, Leo, John and George; sisters, Pearl Kloster, Rose Feser and Pauline Feser; son-in-law Ed DeGrande.
