With his beloved family at his side, Douglas went home to be with his Lord on May 26, 2019 at the Provost Health Centre in Provost, Alberta at the age of 80 years.
He is survived by his wife, Evangelyn; children, James (Pam), Dan (Michelle), Karen (Jim), and Laurel (Todd); grandchildren, Bre, Serena, Christopher, Matthew (Megan) and Zach; great-grandchild, Ezra; siblings, Joyce and Rod (Mavis); as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Jean; siblings, Byron, Leonard and Victor.
Doug will be sadly missed for his peaceful strength, his sense of humour, and his selfless giving spirit.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of Provost Homecare and Provost Health Centre for providing excellent care and support during Doug's final days.
