Obituary of Mary Magdalena Oberst

Mary Magdalena was born to Ignatius & Magdalena Miller on Dec. 5th, 1918 at Primate, Saskatchewan. She married Frank Oberst on Aug. 2, 1943 at Compeer, Alberta. Together they raised their five children on their farm near Hayter, Alberta. In 1975 Frank and Mary retired from farming and moved to Provost. Mary continued to work at the Provost Hospital until 1983. She remained in her home in Provost until Dec. 2002 when she moved to the Hillcrest Lodge. Mary spent the last two months of her life in the Provost Nursing Home due to failing health. She went to be with the Lord on Feb. 25th, 2010. She leaves to mourn; her children, Duaine(Julie) Oberst & their children; Leland(Lori) & their children, Brooklyn & Dylan; Colin(Natalie) & their children, Hugo & Isabella; Don(Shirley) Oberst & their children; Erica, Katie & Holly; Janice(Doug) Rasmussen & their children; Jennifer(Mike) & their children; Abby, Mikenna & Parker; Melissa(Cam) & their daughter Kaydence; Yvonne(Kreiser) & their children; Dustin, Bryce, Stephanie & Jenalee; brother, Ben; and sisters, Rose(Mel), Frances & Dorothy(Ted). Mary was predeceased by her husband, Frank; son, Harvey; son-in-law, Lorne; as well as seven brothers & sisters.
