Obituary of Muriel Frances Herron

Muriel Frances Bulmer was born on July 28, 1924 at Metiskow, Alberta to Alfred and Margaret (nee Dix) Bulmer. She had one brother, Herb and two half sisters, Marjorie and Irene. Muriel attended Sather School until grade 9, Czar School for grade 10 where she then continued on to complete her grade 11 by correspondence. In 1946, Muriel became a supervisor at Laconia School where she assisted with grades 1 - 4. On July 27, 1949, Muriel married Lorne (Mike) Herron and they moved onto the Herron homestead. Mike & Muriel farmed and raised cattle. In 1955, they purchased a flock of sheep, which sparked a deep hearted love & connection for Muriel. She had a genuine passion & interest with the lambs, especially the little orphan ones. In 1977 Mike & Muriel built a well deserved brand new house. This became a place for Muriel to express her talented & creative hand & it offered a haven for everyone to enjoy fellowship and appreciate in Muriel's quiet sense of humor. Muriel passed away peacefully on March 14, 2010 at the Provost Health Center - Long Term Care. She is survived by her two sisters in law, June Bulmer and Margarette (Meg) LaTosky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Mike.
