Obituary of Tillie Walz

Tillie was born May 15, 1925 at Fox Valley, Saskatchewan to John & Jacobena (nee Ziebart) Ternes. She married Joe Walz on October 25, 1948 at Superb. Together they raised five children on the farm near Major and in 1977 they built a home and made the move to Provost. Joe passed away in October of 2000. After his passing, Tillie continued living in their home until August of 2009, when she proudly moved into her new condo. Tillie passed away peacefully on October 18, 2010 at the Provost Health Center at the age of 85 years. She will be forever remembered by her children, Diane (Larry) Fletcher of Lacombe, Brenda (Randy) Friedt of North Battleford, Barry (Donna) Walz of Major and Don (Roxie) Walz of Red Deer; son in law, Lloyd ( Mary) Heck of Provost; grandchildren, Theresa (Tim), Ivan, Travis, Sheldon (Jennifer), Kevin (Rhonda), Chris (Angela), Kristin, Janna, Kylie, Paige, Devon, Trevor (Teri), Trina (Richard); great grandchildren, Melissa, Jaden, Jocelyn, Nickoli, Jordyn, Luke, Karly, Kyle, Dane, Vince, Chloe, Matthew and Abby; brothers, John (Barbara), Richard (Wilma) and Wally; sisters, Rose and Josie (John); sisters in law, Betty and Rose; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Tillie was predeceased by her husband, Joe; daughter, Marlene; granddaughter, Dorinda, brothers, Mike and Ben; sister, Anne (Len); brother in law, Bill.
