Jean remarried in 1980 to Clair Symington of Provost, during which time she enjoyed new interests such as camping and rodeos until Clair passed away in 1987.
Jean enjoyed travelling with her sister Olive and over the years went to the British Isles, the Maritimes, and a trip to Australia when niece Lorna joined Jean and Olive. Other hobbies and interests included reading, curling, and watching TV.
Jean moved to Hillcrest Lodge in 1997 and spent many happy years there until December of 2009 when she moved to the Nursing home. Jean Symington passed away on March 2, 2011 and was predeceased by all of her siblings. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews as well as the Symington families.
