Obituary of Shirley Marie Heck

Please share a memory of Shirley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Shirley Marie Heck passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After a long illness, Shirley passed peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 62 years. Shirley was born September 9, 1948 to Blause and Ramona Baier and raised near Cosine, Saskatchewan. Shirley married Leo Heck on August 16, 1968. They farmed in the St. Donatus area, where they raised their five children. Shirley was an avid gardener; her yard was always kept up to impeccable standards. She took pride in her home; it was always kept spotless. Shirley loved to bake and cook; there were always fresh cinnamon buns, donuts, and buns for her family. She had many pets on the farm; she always had a special place in her heart for her cats and dogs. Shirley held her family in high regard, especially once the grandchildren started to arrive. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren; Dianna and Dave, Lisa and Chris (Colton, Aidan), Derwin and Abigail (Owen, Blair), Sheldon and Tania (Grace, Natalia), Tracey and Todd (Landon, Baby Kennedy). She also leaves to mourn six brothers, Joe (Ida), Norbert (Connie), Rudy (Bonnie), Brian (Jenette), Wayne, Gerard; four sisters, Lucille (Garry), Paulette (Michel), Yvonne (Elroy), Bernadette (Lorne); sister-in-law, Sylvia; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Leo; parents, Blause and Ramona; brother, Elmer; father and mother-in-law, Peter and Lydia; sisters-in-law Anne and Connie; brothers-in-law Henry and Al, and in-law, Walter Kondratowicz.
