Obituary of Nola Mae Walker
Please share a memory of Nola to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Friday, August 17, 2012 Ms. Nola Mae Walker of Provost, Alberta passed away at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 41 years.
How heartrending to hear that Nola died at the young age of 41. Her brilliant mind was often focused on her desire to write. She had physical beauty beyond most of us - her facial features, thick wavy hair, and statuesque physique made her someone other women could easily envy. Her most striking physical attribute was her beautifully shaped eyes that were often filled with insight and emotion - It is from eyes just like hers that the phrase 'window to the soul' was probably coined. Nola had a special bond with her dog, always making sure that she did everything she could to keep her dog healthy and happy. Nola was kind and careful not to judge others, remembering that everyone is doing the best they can. Nola lived her life as we all should; she put her effort into focusing on self-improvement, never losing hope in her ability to overcome obstacles. We could all learn a little more about compassion and hope from Nola.
"The first hope in our inventory - the hope that includes and at the same time transcends all others - must be the hope that love is going to have the last word." -Arnold Toynbee
