Obituary of Maryan Fischer

Please share a memory of Maryan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Maryan Fisher was born on December 11, 1932 to Peter & Elizabeth Stang at the homestead near Macklin, Saskatchewan. She passed away on August 29, 2012 at the Provost Health Centre at 79 years of age. Maryan grew up in a large family of 16 children with lots of hard work, music and laughter. After the family moved to Ohaton, Alberta, Maryan left home; at a young age she began work in the hospital as a cook and nurses aid. This eventually led to her working on the children's ward at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton. It was during Maryan's time in Edmonton that she met and married Paul Fisher. Later they moved back to the Fisher homestead to farm. Maryan and Paul had four children; Doug, Donald, Terry and Maureen. Maryan and Paul worked together both raising their family and working on the farm until semi-retiring and making their move to Macklin. Maryan kept busy enjoying time spent sewing, cooking and most importantly, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maryan will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children, Doug (Donna), Terry (Gerald) Schell, Maureen (Pierre) Neufeld; grandchildren, Crystal (Steven), Collin (Amber), Amanda (Aaron), Amber (Mike), Paul (Rhianna), Michelle; great-grandchildren, Gage, Tyson, and Makayla; as well as her brothers, sisters, many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul; son, Donald, three sisters, and two brothers.
