Hi Paradis family,
I met Marilyn at the community garden at my church, Glory Lutheran, in Sherwood Park a few years ago. Marilyn had a beautiful garden spot there, she definitely knew how to grow a garden. After speaking with her one day while weeding, I discovered that she was from the Chauvin area, where I lived until I was 9. We found that we knew many of the same people. She was very interesting and nice to talk with. I am so sorry to hear of her death, and of your loss. In peace, Judy Erickson Malcolm

One of the first people I met when I started work at Akaitcho Hall as a dorm supervisor in 1984, a wonderful, caring lady who was always a pleasure to talk with, and had a kind smile and cared about everyone. She made the world better wherever she went. Condolences.

Marilyn and my mom Bonnie were life long friends. The two ladies would laugh so much together. Marilyn and my Mom loved doing fun different activities together. Last year they did a train ride and a dinner theater. Marilyn had great plans, and great follow through.
She was always very nice to my brother and I. She was also very nice to my oldest daughter.
Rest in peace.

MY CONDOLENCE TO THE PARADIS FAMILY
FROM BONNIE DRUMMOND
So sorry to hear of Marilyn's sudden death- there was no time to say "good bye." I met Marilyn in 1961 while attending VSA in Vermilion and we have been friends since. Marilyn was fun to be around and certainly enjoyed winning at a game of cards! Marilyn will be missed by everyone who knew her. REST IN PEACE, MY FRIEND.

So very sorry to hear. My condolences to the family. I was acquainted with Marilyn when I worked with old Bert at the curling rink in the late 70s and then was fortunate to be able to hire her in 2016 to be a companion/feeder for my husband who was in care in Sherwood Park. She was terrific with him and could always coax a smile out of him. I also referred her on to a friend and she became a long time companion to my friend's father also. The man was totally smitten with Marilyn. She was so warm and loving to the clients she cared for. Again, my condolences.

Oh Ms. Paradis, all my memory of you are of fun and good times, you made life at the residence tolerable. I remember you coming to Dettah to pick 12 of us, and right away I knew I would be okay at Akaitcho Hall with you there. I love you so much and rest in peace.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the family of Marilyn Paradis. I have beautiful memories of Ms. Paradis. I was a student at Akaitcho Hall in Yellowknife, N.W.T. In the early 1970’s and Marilyn was one of the supervisors. She treated the students with such love and compassion. I remember her fondly and I am grateful that she was in my life.
