Please share a memory of Sheila to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sheila was born on December 9, 1956 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and grew up in Russell, Manitoba. She completed her schooling at Caronport, Saskatchewan. After moving around Sheila found her home in Provost, Alberta where she met her husband, Paul. Sheila was a hard worker, keeping 4 kids in line while running the house, huge yard, garden and everything else that comes with being married to a farmer. She enjoyed anything to do with outside, she loved her purple martins that would come every spring and make her birdhouse their home for the season. She was the main chute operator, record keeper, tag maker and loved to bark at the cows to move them up the alleyway. She cherished going home to visit her brother and his family in Russell, Manitoba. Spending time at Silver Beach and floating with her sister in-law Anne and nieces, with a cold drink in hand was always a good time. She also enjoyed her camping trips, spending time with friends and family around a campfire. She was well known for her shot making and everyone knew if Sheila disappears they better be prepared to have a shot or 2 with her. She had a great sense of humor, she was quick with the one liners. Even though she was battling cancer for the last 5 years, she would never let you know if she was feeling bad or in pain. She was a fighter and always tried to keep a positive attitude, she didn’t want to miss out on anything. After a long courageous fight, Sheila passed away in the early hours of July 9, 2020 at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 63 years. Sheila leaves to mourn her husband of 35 years, Paul; her four children, Mike (Chrissy) and their children, Jenna and Logan; Robbie (Christa) his daughter, Brook and step-daughter Willow; Ashley (Corey); Kyle (Sophie); Brother, Bob (Anne) Main; Sister in Laws, Kathy Murray (Fred Lindberg) and Marilyn (Ron) Hamm; Melanie Murray; Janet (Bob) Dickson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews & great nieces and nephews.
