My deepest condolences to June and the rest of the Gerling Family. Ed touched so many people with his humour and contagious laugh. He would always offer me a mint or a chocolate, but it always came with a price. He was the brightness on a gloomy day and he will be missed so much. He always made sure to tell all of us Staff how proud he was of his family and of course his farm. God needed one of the best farmers to get heaven back in order. May Eddie Rest Easy

I would like to express my condolences to June, Dale, Brenda, Patty, Colleen and families. I have many memories of growing up alongside the Gerling family. Ed was always very witty and I enjoyed listening to all the stories of the early years! In later years visiting home I would see Ed driving around the countryside much like my dad would do ! Surveying crops and what not! May you find peace with your many memories.

My condolences to the Gerling family.
I remember Eddie playing fastball for my home town of Evesham for years, also remember him as a gentle soul that made us kids feel important and welcome cheering from behind the bench or getting in the way on the bench.
I was always amazed how a guy missing so many fingers could pitch a fastball like he did.
Colleen, it was great running into you the other day and catching up on your mom and dad before his passing.
Know that he impacted more kids than just his kids... its been a long while since I watched the games in Evesham but have never forgot Eddie, the Hurler Gerling.

To the family of Mr Ed. It was an honour and privilege to have been a part of the career team. He always sized me up and said we could always see eye to eye. He always loved watching hockey curling and baseball and he tried many times to explain curling to me( I tried I am to bad for curling). He always had a joke for you and before you least it was a sucker or a scotch mint one for the road. We always talked about all the great times he had with June on the farm with the family. He loved all the grandkids and especially the grandsons Dacron Camden and Cruz. He always would wake up and point the pics of the three dudes and we would chat about what great ball players. We have so many wonderful memories as being a part of Mr Ed s care. God needed one of the best farmers to get heaven back in. Deepest sympathies June and families

Thinking of you all at this time - June, Dale & Brenda, Patty, and Colleen. Some of my earliest memories are of the Gerling farm. Eddie always with a smile on his face, a ready laugh, and a smart remark!! From lazy days next door to each other at the lake, to curling bonspiels, weddings, birthdays, funerals, anniversaries and other celebrations, our families shared had many, many memorable moments. May he rest easy. Heather Ellwood
