Obituary of Bernard Miller

Benny Miller was born July 26, 1924 in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. He was one of the many blessings to his parents, Ignatz and Magdalena Miller, along with his eleven siblings. Benny lived most of his young life on the farm learning various trades and skills. He was extremely hard-working, dedicated, and family-oriented. These strong attributes would later become the foundation upon which he built his own family. As fate would have it, Benny met Lois Flemming on July 1, 1943 at the Provost Fairgrounds. They dated off and on, fell in love and married on Oct 22, 1947. They celebrated 52 years of marriage and welcomed eleven children together before Lois’ passing in 2000. He passed away on October 26, 2020 at the Provost Health Centre – Long Term Care at the age of 96 years. Benny will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all those that he leaves behind, children, Donna (†Kenny) Leibel and their children, Richard (Miguel) and Janet (Shawn); Eva (Rene) Wetstein and their children, Blair and Brian (Tamara); and their grandchildren, Ashley (Dakota) Monkman and Adam Miller; Rodney Miller; Bernard (Michele) Miller and their children, Cody (Chanyna) and Kirstyn; and their grandchildren, Carrera and Ciarra; Thomas (Dianne) Miller and their children, Amy Miller and Alison Miller; Christopher Miller; Anita (Brian) Carter and their children, Bradley (Desirée), Graham and Tara (John); and their grandchildren, Hailey, Emma, Cruz, Autumn and Dao; Patrick Miller and his children, Gavin (Trisha) Hagar, Genien (Jonathan) Peterson, Bernie Miller and Nikki Miller; and their grandchildren, Gabby, Juliet, Bianca, Emma, Josiah, Lily and Gael; David (Brenda) Miller and their children, A.J. (Shannon) Bertoia, Kelly Miller and Megan Miller; and their grandchildren, Adeline and Everett; †Cindy Miller and her children, Justin (Jamie) Miller, Kera Miller and Jade Miller; and her grandchildren, Luke and Kash; Lisa Miller and her children, Jennifer Miller (Geoff), Paige (Stephen) Delaney and Dakhota Miller; and her grandchildren, Paisley, Brynlee, Lily and Oaklyn; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Benny is predeceased by his wife, Lois Miller; daughter, Cindy Ann Miller; son in law, Kenny Leibel; all his siblings; and his great granddaughter, Sierra Lois Carter.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held for family on Friday, October, 30, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Provost, Alberta.
