Obituary of Angeline Eva Ries

Please share a memory of Angeline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Angelina Eva was born February 13, 1922 at Radstadt, near Fox Valley, Saskatchewan to Martin and Elizabeth Boser. Angelina was the second of fourteen children. The family moved to Reward, Saskatchewan, when she was seven years old, where she went to school for three years only, then Angelina had to stay home to help raise the family. At 15 years of age she went to work in Unity, Saskatchewan to work in the homes of others. In 1942 Angelina married Ralph Ries from the Provost area where they farmed for 33 years. Angelina faced difficult times in her life over the years but she always accepted these challenges which made her into a strong, independent person. She was a great cook, gardener, preserver and seamstress. She was always there for everyone. In 1974 Ralph and Angelina moved to Provost until 1984; it was in 1978 that Angelina had to say good-bye to Ralph as he passed away at that time. It was shortly after Ralph's passing that Angelina moved to Camrose where she enjoyed 24 years. In 2008 she returned to Provost to reside at the Continuing Health Care, where she stayed until her passing on October 23, 2012 at 90 years of age. Angelina will be forever remembered by her daughter, Florence (Joe) Kelsch; granddaughter, Arlene Keebaugh; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Trinity; three sisters, Betty (Don) Nett, Beatrice Burns and Victoria Boser; sister-in-law, Gertie Boser; brothers, Philip and Leo; as well as many nieces and nephews. Angelina was predeceased by husband, Ralph; brothers, Frank, John, Pete, Nick, Martin; sisters, Bertha Bridle, Rose Buziak and Mary McDonald.
