Obituary of Fay Virginia Jickling

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, Fay Virginia Jickling passed away peacefully at the Provost Health Centre, at the age of 79. Fay was born on July 20, 1941 in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan to Weldon and Mabel (Johnston) Mundle. She was one of 12 children. The family later moved to southern Alberta where she attended school and then worked as a telephone operator and later an office manager until retirement. Fay had a passion for painting which started after she retired and spent many hours creating. She also had a great passion for curling, she did not take phone calls during curling season. She is survived by her three children, Sharlene (Carl), Ken (Jason) and Kathleen (Gloria); sister, Shirley, Debbie; brothers, Ron, Terry, Bobby, Don; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was a proud granny to Patrick (Whitney), Johny (Shayna), Marc, Travis and Matthew; and great grandson Liam. Fay was predeceased by her parents, Weldon and Mabel; brothers, Fuzzy and Darcy; and sisters, Joyce, Darleen and Carolyn.
