Obituary of Wilfred Herman Lessmeister

Wilfred was born on January 12, 1932 to Joseph "Herman" Lessmeister and Mary (Griep) Lessmeister on the Lessmeister Homestead North-East of Denzil, Saskatchewan. Wilfred passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 80 years. Wilfred was the 7th of 10 children raised on the Lessmeister Homestead. Having the joy of raising his own family where he grew up, he always felt he had led a blessed life. A quiet and thoughtful man he enjoyed the simple things in life; woodworking, chores on the farm, sports, playing cards and of course sharing a laugh with family and friends. Wilfred will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Maggie; children, Darrell (Collette), Richard (Darla), Carman (Linaya), Clayton, Dana (Colin) Swanson; grandchildren, Lark, Darwin, Alena and Denzyl Lessmeister, Logan and Lucas Lessmeister, Casie, Hanna and Erinn Lessmeister, Carter and Ireland Lessmeister & Darby-Anne, Karson and Leland Swanson; siblings, Mary Lessmeister, Esther (George) Zimmer, Lillian Bemis; In-Laws, Eddie (Audrey) Lantz, Mike (Carol) Lantz and Donna Lantz and their families; as well as many other family and friends. Wilfred was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Mary; sisters: Margaret Campbell, Clare Lessmeister and Rose Reiniger; brothers, Arthur, Wilbert and Vincent; Mother and Father In-Law, Rose and Albert Lantz; In-Laws, John Campbell, John Bemis, Joe Reiniger and Yvonne Lessmeister.
