Obituary of Velma Isabelle Fleck

Velma Fleck passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 2, 2021 at Seasons Retirement Home in Camrose, Alberta at the age of 89 years. Velma was born to Gordon and Annie Rusk on Sept 7, 1931 in Lacombe Alberta. Velma was raised in Lacombe where she graduated from high school. On August 11, 1956, Velma married the love of her life, Fritz Fleck. They lived in Provost raising their sons, Doug and Dave. They would continue to call Provost home until October of 2014 when they moved to Camrose to be closer to their sons and their families. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Doug (Ann) and Dave (Sheila); grandchildren, Jason (Kelly), Jennifer (Dallas), Heather (Neil), Brendan (Jessica) and Bryce; great grandchildren, Dawson, Porter, Devon, Dylan, Emilie and Kate. Also by her sister, Hazel Maisonneuve (Ted); sister in laws, Matilda Fleck and Jeanne Kirk; brother in law, Tony Fleck; and numerous other relatives and friends. Velma was predeceased by her husband, Fritz (2020); parents, Gordon and Annie Rusk; sisters, Marjorie Flechuk, Vivian Dick , Frances Wiwchar and Viola Ponton; brother, Fred Rusk; sister-in-law, Margo Rusk; brother-in-law’s, Bill Flechuk, Dusty Wiwchar and Lorne Ponton.
