We, as the family of Ken Scott, would like to send our condolences to your family. Bill was such a calm and steady influence in our growing-up years. When he came to work for Dad, he sometimes drove us to school, serenading us with "How Much is that Doggie in the Window". He looked out for us generally because one of us was always underfoot while he was trying to get his work done and though he had many reasons to lose his patience, he never did.
In a world of hyper consumerism and the conviction that the grass is always greener somewhere else, Bill was a man who was content to stay in one place all his life. His roots were deep in the prairie soil - as were our dad's. He was a good man and we are honoured to have known him and grateful for the part he played in our lives. Men with his quiet integrity and gentle spirit are not always easily found and the world will be a harsher place without him.
With deepest sympathy and gratitude for a life well-lived,
Mary Scott and children - Leslie, David, Marilyn, Susan, Bill and John
