Obituary of Ronald John Angeltvedt
Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ronald John Angeltvedt was born on September 6, 1954 to Sigurd and Shirley. Ron was the oldest to four brothers, Richard, Kelvin, Michael and Melvin; and to one sister, Karen.
Before he was able to drive, Ron used to ride his horse to town to ask for a job. In his teens he rode as an AI rider, worked at the Sulphate Plant and last at Walter Kozlinski’s.
In 1973 Ron married Ann Groves; and after their marriage, they returned to the farm to join Sigurd and Shirley farming.
In 1976 Ron and Ann’s family grew with the arrival of their daughter, Tracy. Their family of three stayed this way for 10 years. They then moved to Edgerton to try their hand at ranching and the best part of this move was the arrival of their second child, a son, Cole. They stayed at Edgerton for 5 years before making the move back to continue farming.
In 1999 the family grew again with the addition of a son in law, Dan and shortly after that came four grandchildren, Charlie-Ann, Jude, Danielle and Matthew. Cole married Katelyn in 2014 and when Lindy came along the baby visits started again.
Ron was a simple man who enjoyed working the family farm, his family, and the coffee guys.
Surrounded by the love of his family, Ron passed away on November 13, 2021 at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 67 years.
Ron will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Ann; his children, Tracy (Dan) Bonnefoy and Cole (Katelyn); grandchildren, Charlie, Jude, Danielle, Matthew and Lindy; siblings, Rick (Lesley); Kelvin (Diane); Karen (Marty) West; Mike; Mel (Alana); as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Sigurd and Shirley; grandparents, Alfred and Jensine Angeltvedt and John and Lilly Sundholm; brother in-law, Robbie Groves.
A funeral service for Ron will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lutheran Church in Provost, Alberta with Pastor Paul McCormick officiating.
Ron’s Funeral Service will be open to the public and will be following the Restriction Exception Program, which requires all to provide Proof of Vaccination (2 weeks post second shot) or a negative COVID Test within 72 hours to attend.
