Obituary of Catherine Ada Luedemann

Catherine “Cathy” Ada Smith was born in Regina, Saskatchewan September 20, 1954 to Marjorie “Marj” and Jack Smith. She was the eldest of three children. She met the love of her life in 1972 when a group of friends met up to play flag football. That night Peter went home to his parents and said, “I'm going to marry that girl”. They were married on December 10, 1973. Cathy and Peter welcomed a daughter, Corinna, in 1977 and another daughter, Tara, in 1980 to complete their family. Sadly, Cathy unexpectedly passed away on March 14, 2022 at the Provost Hospital at the age of 67. Cathy will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Peter; daughters, Corinna (Jason) of Battleford, Saskatchewan and Tara (Kris) of Provost, Alberta; granddaughters, Emmalee, Chloe, and Olivia; grandsons, Ryley and Tyler; mom, Marj of Calgary, Alberta; sister, Laurie (Mike); brother, Trevor (Danielle); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her dad, Jack; and her granddaughter, Erika. A Celebration of Cathy’s life will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lutheran Church in Provost, Alberta with Pastor Paul McCormick officiating.
