Obituary of Adeline Maria Paulgaard
Please share a memory of Adeline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Adeline was born on October 30, 1924 to John & Helen Biever. She was the second eldest of five children. On June 14, 1949, she married Palmer Albert Paulgaard and they lived on the farm near Bodo until they moved into Provost in 1982.
Adeline passed away peacefully at the Provost Health Centre – Long Term Care on March 19, 2022 at the age of 97.
Adeline spent many hours gardening, planting flowers, quilting, and curling. She loved to bake and the grandchildren all have fond memories of her fresh baked buns. She made baby quilts for each of the grandchildren and also spent countless hours making each and every one of the grandchildren their own special “memory” books. After Palmer passed away, she spent a lot of time volunteering in the community with CWL, Hospital Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels and Candy Cane Lane.
Her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. Holding those new grandbabies and great-grandbabies brought her so much joy. A trip to Lloydminster or Edmonton with her never ended without a stop at a Dairy Queen where she could enjoy a soft ice-cream cone.
Adeline will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her five children; Danny (Lynn), Marilyn (Lon) Coley, Elmer (Annette), Valerie (Lynnsay) Feser and Lorne (Cindy); her 16 grandchildren, Ryan (Jodi), Brad (Gaylene), Jason (Jody), Krista (Donny), Raelynn (Tyler), Lonnie (Christine), Anna-Marie (Vahn), Katrina (Roger), Derek (Stephanie), Breanne (Clay), Morgan (Jamie), Raegan (Rachel), Ashton, Jennifer (Geoff), Megan and Joshua; 27 great grandchildren, Karley & Carson, Evan, Laine, Kade & Grace, Chase (Grace) & Alexa, Graison & Gage, Meyer & Stevie; Liam, Rachael & Marshall, Price, Troy & Jasper, Layla; Cohen, Miller & Hayes, Willow & Ari; Paisley, Brynlee & Lily; her brother, Vernon (Lila) Biever; sisters in law, Rosemary Biever, Norma Paulgaard and Carol Paulgaard; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Palmer; infant daughter, Darlene; sons, Ronnie and Kelvin; sister, Hilda Schultz; brothers, Norbert Biever and Lloyd Biever; brothers and sisters in law, Edward Schultz, Oscar (Marlene) Paulgaard, Clifford Paulgaard, Harold Paulgaard and Clara Biever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday March 26, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Provost, Alberta with Father Christopher officiating. Interment to follow at the Rosenheim Cemetery.
