Gwen was born on Saturday, October 27, 1934 in Provost, Alberta to parents, Dennis and Phyllis Manning.

Gwen passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Burnaby, British Columbia at the age of 87 years.

Gwen is survived by her loving family, daughters Natalie Roosdahl and Carmen Slobodian; grandchildren, Tiana Roosdahl, Ryley Roosdahl; step daughters Karen Fletcher, Judy Dickinson, Nora Fergusson and Lara Dubuc and their families; as well as many extended relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Slobodian; second husband, Brian Whitworth; daughter, Michelle Slobodian; son-in-law, Barry Roosdahl.

The family wishes to express their thanks for the many kind words, prayers and sympathies extended during this time.

You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.

A memorial service for Gwen will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Gregory's Funeral Home Chapel in Provost, Alberta with Pastor Paul McCormick officiating. Interment to follow at the North Cadogan Cemetery. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the interment at the Cadogan Ag. Society Hall.
