Please share a memory of Kristy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kristy was born on March 4, 1987 in Provost, Alberta to parents, Wayne and Vicki (Kohlman) Sletten.
She attended school in Semans, Saskatchewan from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Then attended in Luseland, Saskatchewan from Grade 5 to Grade 12 when she graduated high school in 2005. After graduation, Kristy pursued some local employment opportunities while she was deciding on future endeavours and secondary education.
In 2006, Kristy decided to pursue her passion and interest in the medical field and enrolled in the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Northwest Regional College in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. After 2 years of schooling, Kristy graduated with her nursing degree and was ready to begin her career as an Licensed Practical Nurse.
Kristy began her career at River Heights Lodge in North Battleford, Saskatchewan in 2008. She had such a passion for nursing and her willingness to always lend a hand to everyone she knew extended far beyond the walls of the care home. She was always ready to help family and friends, even if it was just a call to answer all of the medical questions we needed answered.
Her loyalty and passion for her career enabled her to maintain her position at RHL for 15 years, doing what she loved. Kristy was well respected in her workplace and formed many life long friendships as a result.
In 2017 Kristy met her forever love; Kelly Pritchett and they started dating. They fell in love instantly and shortly thereafter, their dream of starting a family came true when they welcomed their baby girl, Lennon into the world on October 3, 2018.
Kristy’s biggest joy in life was her family. She spent a period at home after Lennon was born, enjoying every moment of family life, and providing the best motherly care she could.
Another dream came true for Kristy when Kelly asked her to be his wife in 2019. They were happily married on August 28, 2021, surrounded by all of their friends and family in this joyous occasion. In married life, Kristy and Kelly enjoyed family time and watching Lennon grow. Their beautiful home was always open and welcome for all family and friends. She loved cooking, camping, fishing, hosting friends and family and enjoying time around a campfire. Anyone that knew Kristy knew that she loved to organize, which was reflected in how beautiful their home and yard were kept.
With her entire family by her side, Kristy passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023 at the Battleford Union Hospital at the age of 35 years.
