Q: How did you meet Rae? A: I met Rae when she started dating Ron (Ronny), — and at subsequent engagements thereafter. Rae was ideal for Ronny, — a difficult feat by today's standards, — a once in a lifetime achievement, as anyone who has experienced a life long union, raising children, and earning a living would tell you. I didn't attend the wedding as I was living in Calgary, and worked for C.P. Rail, where I was required to be available for most of my career. I missed many family reunions as I was in the Transportation Department, a 24/7 department, with little time off. When I learned of Rae's passing I was deeply saddened as COVID seemed to coincide with the passing of many of those I knew, leaving far too many questions at the time, and for everyone's liking. I would like to offer my condolences to Ron (Ronny) and the Veller family, all of the children and grandchildren. When I heard that many of you stayed with MOM before she passed, I was deeply grateful that so many of you showed your appreciation and your LOVE to her, during such a difficult time.... Rae was a gift to all of us with her generous heart, kind spirit, uplifting personna and beautiful smile. She will be dearly missed. She now lives in Our Hearts & is Eternally at Rest with Our Lord. Till We Meet Again.

I remember growing up in Maxim with Rae and Pat … so many memories. I added a couple of pictures - the first one was taken in the mid to late fifties in Maxim and the second one was taken more than sixty years later at a school reunion - same five girls (Rae, Pat, Linda, Betty and Sherry). My sincere condolences - Rae was a wonderful person.
