Obituary of Theresa Ann Page

Please share a memory of Theresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Theresa Ann Page was born on April 10, 1949, in Macklin, Saskatchewan, the second child of Adam and Josie Prediger (Thaller).

In high school, she met George Brost and both went away to Saskatoon to start their secondary education to become teachers. After a few years of dating, they got married on August 7, 1971. George tragically passed away only a few short months later in February of 1972. Theresa put finishing her education degree on hold for a few years.

Theresa was introduced to Doug Page of Mullingar, Saskatchewan by family members on both sides when they were teaching together in Provost, and Theresa was working in Macklin.  They fell in love and were married on June 28th, 1975.  They had two children together, Leslie and Christopher, and were married for 34 years.  During that time, they found their love for travel and went off on adventures all around the world.  Doug passed away on July 9th, 2009.

Theresa went on to further her education at the University of Saskatchewan for her Bachelor of Education degree. She began and ended her teaching career in Provost, teaching at both Provost Public and St. Thomas Aquinas. She was beloved by her students and fellow teachers and was well known for her extensive apple and globe collection, jingly jangly jewelry, and her VERY LOUD teaching voice that would carry throughout the school halls.

Theresa had many hobbies throughout the years including wreath making, crafting and most of all flower gardening. Her yard was the envy of many. She also enjoyed attending many Broadway musical productions that came on tour throughout the years to bring a little “big city” culture to her “small town” kids.

She was an avid traveler. Visiting Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, South America, and all throughout North America from coast to coast.

In 2011, she met Ken Knox through Town of Provost events and their friendship grew into something beautiful. Together they had many laughs and adventures. Theresa and Ken built a wonderful life together both in Provost and their winter escape in Mesa, Arizona. They enjoyed playing golf together and Theresa’s green thumb continued down South.

She will be greatly missed by her partner in life, Ken; his children, grandchildren and soon to be, great grandchildren.

Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lynnell (Matt) Roberts and their three children, Zachary, Jacob and Zoe (Logan); Leslie (Doug) Stratichuk and their two daughters, Hailey and Peyton; Christopher Page and his partner, Allan Marcotte. She is also survived by her siblings, Brian (Hélène) Prediger, Gerald (Dianne) Prediger and Louise (Garry) Wright; as well as numerous in laws, extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Josie Prediger; husbands, George Brost and Douglas Page; mother in law, Pauline Page; sister in law, Ruth Frettwell; and brother in law, Donald Page.

The family asks if you would like to, please plant a red geranium in remembrance of Theresa.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Provost, Alberta with Father Christopher Rayappan officiating. Interment to follow at the Provost Cemetery.

Theresa's service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. It will be assessable through the GFH website under Theresa's obituary at the time of the service.
