Mary was born on March 18, 1942 in Macklin, Saskatchewan. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Herman and Mary Lessmeister. She grew up on the family farm near Denzil, Saskatchewan.

Mary passed away on May 25, 2023 at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Macklin, Saskatchewan at the age of 81 years.

Mary is survived by her son, David Lessmeister; two granddaughters, Chelsea Wood and Jessica Hill; great-grandchildren, Jessica Wood, Kim Wood, Jackson Wood, Henry Hill and Anna Hill.

She is predeceased by her parents, Herman and Mary; siblings, Arthur, Clare, Margaret, Vincent, Lillian, Rose, Wilferd, Ester, and Wilbert.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Denzil, Saskatchewan with Father Binu Rathappillil Man V.C. officiating. Interment to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
