In loving memory of Mom
If we could write a story in be the greatest we have ever told ,
Of a kind and loving mother who has a heart of Gold.
We could write a million pages but still be unable to say just how much we love you and miss you every thing day .
We will remember all she taught us
Those values still remain and we have installed them in our children to do the same ,
We are hurting but won’t be sad because we know she will send down the answers from above she will always be our
Mom
aka Dorothy May Dallyn Skinner

At tender age of 15 Mom met and fell in love and got married to Dad Edward Frank Skinner and soon they were married on June 1st, 1959.

Mom and Dad Move to British Columbia in 1960 and back to Alberta when the forest fires become too much to handle in late 1961.
They moved a few time in and around the area of Chauvin.
Mom was a stay-at-home mother during our younger years.
Mom was a waitress in the Chauvin Bar while her and dad help run it .
In Later years
Mom Drove school bus Mom Also worked at GM store along side of her sister Ruth.
Mom was fondly called Grandma Flower by Grandchild Crystal because of her love of flowers.
Mom delighted in watching hummingbirds fly around from flower to flower or beautiful butterflies among her treasures other then her Children, and spouses Grandchildren and great Grandchildren was her lilac tree that was given to her along with all other thing she kept for years. as we went though all the old photographs and the story that made us laugh, we found birth announcement dating back through out the years.
Mom loved her family with all her heart and done everything she possibly could do for them.
From been a loving and devoted wife and Mother to caring loving Sister, Auntie, Grandma and Great-grandmother.
I remember 1 Christmas Mom stay up late on Christmas eve making doll clothes for us Girl Dolls , because they did not have much that year to give.
mom didn’t think I know. however, I did, and I still remember that till this very day.
I also remember the year they try to hide the gifts and Edward Jr found them and we rip into them before they where awake boy did, we get in trouble…
I remember all the things she did for us growing up and the lesson learned sometimes the hard way, and all the lesson, I have learned from her and wisdom I always remember. I have tried to teach those value to my children the same
As years went by and we move on with our lives and got married and had our own child years as we travel back and forth to come see Mom
Each time I be home she have a nice meal made for the first day then after that she say Cue you can cook for me and high I was more then glad to do she sure loved it when some else cook for her.
mom was there for me so much in life from coming down each time I would have one of my children
When I was sick in 2000, and they almost losing me
she worried her beyond her years, I am sure to and when I went thou Cancer.
she said a million prayer for me and for our family she loved the lord and would pray or ask for prayer.
Mom was diagnosed with pulmonary Fibrosis, they told her then she had 5 years only she beat the odds and lived 9 she was a strong-willed woman. I for one was thankful for those extra years we got to spend with her.
As mom lungs become progressively worse and we as a family had to make the choice to place her in a nursing home at first, Mom stay was in Provost hospital, and she was moved in the Wainwright Auxiliary extended care Nursing care home in October of 2022¬ till her passing on June 12/23
each month we try to make a trip up and sometimes it was 2 times in a month be with her the last while I have not been able to do that it as often as I would like to have. Because of the new job
Mom never judge me she just loved us unconditionally.
Mom, you had a heart of Gold, and we will miss you more then words can tell, and I will miss all the phone conversions where we would have talk for hrs on end just about anything and everything.
A poem I have choose to read today.
If Roses grow in Heaven
by Kirsten Preus.
If Roses Grow in heaven Lord
please pick a bunch for me and place them in my mother arm and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her and when she turns to smile place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy
I do it every day
But there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.
I so proud to have called you my mother my you where hero in many ways.
Love you always and forever in my heart you will stay From Cue.
