Dave Geer- a prairie "renaissance" man, who could fix anything on the farm. Dave helped and taught Clayton so much about fixing the farm machinery, how to manage the land efficiently, and lending a helping hand. So many times we called on you Dave, and we were never turned away. You were a reliable friend. Always there for us. Thank you Dave Geer. Rest in peace.

Uncle Dave - a homesteader’s son who stayed on the farm. Hard working man with so many skills. Learned by watching and getting involved - self taught in so many things. Never hire someone when you can learn to do it yourself. I am sure he passed so much on to Heather, Lorne and all those grandchildren. Memories of all those summers on the farm helping from an early age - tinkering, driving tractors at 11 years, shooting rifles, haying, rolling rocks onto the stone boat, shovelling grain, harvest time, fixing anything that moved, and riding old Flora his horse from his school days. He watched over his mother (my grandmother) to keep her safe in her home till her last days - finally starting his own family with Freda and renewing the cycle. Rest in peace.

To the family of David Geer. He was a lovely kind gentleman that had a lovely twinkle in his eye and an easy laugh. As his diseas progressed and it got harder for him to speak what he wanted , it was so lovely to watch him Light up when Frida and the kids would visit. You could see how much he cared. Just how he would say thank you when you got a warm flannel or a sing song. I was so priveledged and honoured to have been there for Dave and meeting the family. God bless you Freda and all the family. Dave is always there with his hat on his head watching the wind blow over the fields.
