Roland and Sue Milligan. We feel privileged to have known Fred. We will cherish the memories of our hiking trips in Canmore filled with Fred's wonderful stories of childhood. We often relied on Fred's reminders of who was related to who in a crowded room. His explainations were always accompanied by a story. Thinking of Fred can not be separated from thoughts of his amazing tenderness towards every child.

We will always miss the warm light that Fred was for us all.He was a kind & gentle man but Pius doesn't want us to forget how'tough'he could be,walking up & back the church road every day, counting the steps & then the miles.
During the hiking season,he climbed Ha Ling far past the time he should have done.
Other hikes he led like the Pied Piper followed by the little ones.his great respect for them was coupled by a sense of fun and they loved him for that. He truly was a special person. He will be sorely missed.
