The previously written message was also meant to be sent from my husband.I had just forgot to put his name but not his sentiments. When I had mentioned that I met Ursula and Matt Fischer at mass that Saturday autumn afternoon, he shared with me many great things about the Fischer family, as he had been fortunate to grow up in this very Christian community, lots of fun, activities, and plenty of support. He was adamant about telling me that the Fischer family were a large part of building this circle of friends and family.

Thanks, God, for sharing Ursula 's strong character with me. When I first moved out to St . Donatus, I wanted to get to know the community but I didn't want to be pushy. Well, thanks to Ursula, I felt comfortable and accepted very quickly. After mass at our church, Ursula was the first lady to come up to me and introduce herself as the mother-in-law of a good friend of mine from the community of Major, where I had grown up. It was Don Janzen married to her daughter, Anita, who I had known but didn't know the connection. I realized immediately where Anita had come by her extremely friendly personality. It was Ursula who also told me about the local CWL, of which I had been a member in other communities. At my first meeting, she was something else: quick-witted, compassionate, accepting, and non-judgmental. There is a lot more, but so many of those who knew her had even more similar experiences that are unique to each one that she cherished. I am just sorry that I didn't know her for a longer period of my life. But at least, God did share His devoted servant, Ursula, with me for a while and now forever. I have personal messages that I will send to each of the family that we know and care for. But I needed to share how much that I looked up to Ursula and Matt,(Matt is as equally witty, yet caring at the same time) that our prayers and support are with dear Matt and his loving family. We love you.

Sincerest condolences, Uncle Matt and family, on the passing of our dear Auntie Ursula. My brother, Mike, and my fondest memory of Auntie Ursula occurred on one of our summer holidays to the Graf homestead when Auntie Ursula decided to read the book, Jean Val Jean, to Uncle Gerald and the two Behm brothers. She had all three of us enraptured at bedtime as her daily narration went one chapter at a time. Later, I believe it was grade eight, the experience helped us in Literature as Jean Val Jean was required reading. Thanks, Auntie Ursula, may you rest in peace!

Uncle Matt & Families: It is sad to say goodbye to my Godmother and one of the funniest people I ever met in my life. I remember her always bringing me the tastiest homemade noodles whenever she knew I'd be at a gathering. Other members of my family always wanted to sample some of them, but they never got any. I read the obituary and it describes Auntie Ursula to a tee and I never knew you once lived in Edmonton. I feel blessed to have had her in my life. My deepest sympathy to all of you for your loss.

Uncle Matt and family: We are thinking of you and your loss. Our heartfelt condolences to all of you. Aunt Ursula was an amazing woman who had a heart of gold, a great sense of humour and a beautiful soul. I loved her sense of humour and how positive she always was. When she was with you, you were in for lots of laughs. I remember when she came to the island to see us and she was talking about the OAP cheque she got each month and how it arrived in a brown envelope. She reminded Herb that he would be getting that same envelope in a year. After she got home she mailed Herb the empty brown envelope so he would know what his OAP envelope would look like. Now we are left with fond memories of a person we were blessed to have known. May your strength, courage and the love and support of your family and friends protect and guide you through this difficult time.
