Everyone deserves to have an Auntie Cherie. The person who will always be rooting for you: from the side of the soccer field or in the theatre for dance. Auntie Cherie was always there. Everyone could see the extremely special relationship she had with Farrah and Paige. Cherie was just an amazing person who spread happiness where ever she went. She will never be forgotten.

Cherie! What an awesome gal! This past Christmas, after a delicious dinner prepared by her and Christine, the adults were sitting around the table visiting, relaxing and just enjoying each others company, the kids were downstairs laughing and playing, having a good time. I looked around wondering where Cherie was so I followed the laughter and to no surprise, there she was playing with her nieces and nephews with all the little surprises she had taken for them to help keep them entertained while their parents enjoyed some relaxation. That was Cherie, always more than willing to help out and enjoying every minute of it. The kids really enjoyed her patience, humour, and all the fun times they had with her. It will take them time to understand the void in their lives. We adults will truly miss her wit, knowledge, cooking skills, the joy she brought to a room and, well, Cherie just being Cherie. We can only hope that she has gone to a better place and can now be with her mom and dad and that some day we will meet again in this better place. WE LOVE YOU CHERIE!!!!!

My greatest sympathy goes to Cherie's family, friends and coworkers. Cherie has always been my 'go-to' girl in the Wainwright office. She was always happy to help and often went out of her way to do this. I was also fortunate enough to experience her fantastic cooking skills on several occasions. She was greatly loved, appreciated and respected there and I know will be greatly missed. The Wainwright office will not be the same without her.

To Christine, Jason, Farrah and Paige, I worked with Cherie at Wainwright Public Health and we quickly became friends when I moved to Wainwright. She had the biggest heart and her sense of humor got me through some tough times being away from my family and friends.
