The the family of a wonderful man. I have privileadgedcto have given care not only to Elbert but also Anna. He was such a kind and patient souls who always had a good story and so kind to help educate new people to a walk in his shoes. I loved when I would do care for him and he would tell me about the crazy cow he couldn’t get rid of fast enough and the horses he had. He was especially proud of the last team of horses. As I told him I grew up with newfoundland ponies being 6 feet tall my legs were drag on the ground he said well we grow them bigger out here. I remember him talking with so much fondness about the kids grandkid and great grand child. I was there when Anna took her next steps towards the next adventure with God. I promised her I would take care of the love of her life. I held Elbert’s hand when he would say how much he missed Anna and Josh. The tears would slowly roll and we would sit and we would talk of good memories. He would say you know when you would get two young horses together as a team there was a little bit of work to learn the way of the road.after a while they could go all over the country know how to get anywhere without a thought. They would be a steady and sound team for many many years then one would get sick and have difficulty going. After a while there’s an empty space in the stall. Then the other horse goes for awhile until after a bit the good Lord calls him home. May the road be smooth the wind be soft and always on your back. I have learned so much about being patient and how to treat others from you sir. You have made the world a much more beautiful place God bless you all.
