Sheila, I am so very sorry for your loss. You and Ron have been dear friends of our family for as long as I can remember and I have so many wonderful memories of times spent with you both. In our house Ron will be forever known as "Uncle Beep-Beep" for all the times he made Connor giggle by tweaking his nose, or his toes, or poking his belly. I recall one rainy evening at the Cayford camp when everyone else (wisely) retired to the warmth of their trailers, Ron and several of us gathered in the cook shack for a final nightcap. The conversation carried on well into the night, with the rain pouring outside and dripping through the leaky cook shack roof. We laughed, sang, danced and probably kept half the camp awake into the wee hours. This is what we all loved about Ron - such a awesome, fun-loving guy. Gone way too soon. A big hug from the Shymoniak/Cayfords - Wayne, Marj and Connor

So sorry Sheila to hear of Ron’s passing. It was certainly a shock to us. I always enjoyed working alongside Ron at ATCO Electric in Lloydminster. He was an expert at keeping the equipment and material supply show on the road and most often with a good sense of humour. He was a man you could rely on to follow through. We are thinking of you at this sad time and wish you many fond memories of Ron.

Sheila, my sincere condolences to you on your loss. I am so fortunate to have known such a great guy and will forever cherish the memories of camping at the Maidstone farm. What a hoot we had! Ron was always fun to be around, always laughing, always cheerful and positive. Always ready to help cook a meal, cut down trees or dig potatoes. Always ready to play some yard games, take on someone in golf, or relax in the sun of summer with a cold beverage. Next time at camp, we will cook up some ‘cackleberries’ pour a ‘hooiehowie’ and celebrate Ron’s life, gone way too soon. Hope to see you someday soon Sheila.
Love and hugs, Carrie Munro (Cayford)

Sheila and Family. Roxanne and I offer our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all on the loss of of such a great guy. I had the great pleasure of playing ball with Ron in Arizona for a few seasons. He was the consummate team leader, always full of energy and quick with words of encouragement (or a slam), as appropriate. That was Ron. The attached picture is of our 2017 Championship team. Again, our deepest sympathies. Cherish the great memories you had together. Gone way too soon.

Ron was a great co-worker and one to express his “opinion” on warehousing related issues. If he didn’t agree with something he let everyone know. A great guy and and I had many a laugh with him. RIP buddy!!

Sheila and family...
We had no idea that Ron suffered from a disease that few beat in the long haul. We remember Ron's and your friendly faces and greetings at Monte Vista. Yes, he loved senior softball and it was a pleasure to play with and against him all these cold Canada/Illinois and warm Mesa winters. You could have been the entire cheering section for whatever team he played on. Your enthusiasm was contagious! I am so sorry for your loss. We will not forget either of you. May God's grace sustain you until your mourning turns to wonderful memories of your lives together.
Sincerely,
Jeri & Jim Richardson

Uncle Ron’s laugh was contagious. You couldn’t help but laugh along side with him when he got laughing.
I’ll forever miss the “Raher Raker’s”, games of ‘pass the ace’, ‘pine lake no peek-ie’, and ‘chicken foot dominoes’, the New Year’s Eve fondue’s and the laughs around the campfires while camping. Uncle Ron had the ability to make everything more enjoyable (even the many times he and Aunt Sheila helped move me across the province and back again!).
I have too many memories to pick just one favourite. I love you Uncle Ron and will always remember the joy you emulated with your very presence. ~ Lissy-Lou. ❤️
The photo above is during a game of Pine Lake No Peek-ie…. One of my favourites.

My favourite memory is from one of the first times that I met “Uncle” Ron. He came to my husbands apartment with a group of Cayford’s (from Lloyd to Edmonton at midnight) to play chicken foot dominoes. I sat next to him and he kept hiding dominoes in his shirt pocket! If I didn’t have one to play then he would take a look in his stash and pass me one in secret. That Ron giggle will stay with me forever. We love you!

This was a fantastic evening. I remember getting the call that the crew (Uncle Ron, Aunt Sheila, Mom, Dad and Uncle John) were picking me up and heading to your place. (I lived in the next building over but they insisted I get picked up!) Many laughs ensued and many rounds of chicken foot dominoes.
