Aunt Christina was one of the sweetest people to have graced this earth. We are fortunate to have shared time and memories with her. Mom (Betty), Aunt Clara, Uncle Ed and Aunt Christina are now no doubt, sitting together playing cards, laughing as always and enjoying each others company once again.

I have many memories of my sister Christina even though there was 17 years difference between us and we lived many miles apart. We were always close sisters.
When our parents moved to B.C. with the younger siblings (myself and Betty) we kept in touch by mailing letters and then phone calls to share our stories. It was always nice to hear her voice.
She was always a family person who loved her children and grandchildren. She was a great cook and a hard worker.
I think back of the double wedding of Alois and Christina and Ed & Elsie at the Rivercourse farm in 1945. Myself and Louise were flower girls and so proud of our matching dresses. That was also our big day too!
I have many more happy thoughts and memories to share, like her visit to B.C. in 2019 just after her 100th birthday celebration in May. She came along with Alan and Beth as they were celebrating their anniversary in Kelowna. She stayed with me for a week and we reminisced for hours and listened to lots of old time music which we both enjoyed.
She was a wonderful sister and was like a second mom to me.
I will miss her always. Rest in peace dear sister, I love you! Sister Barb

Aunt Christina was a Strong and Courageous Woman
Clara Lorenz was my Mama and Aunt Christina’s Sister
I have so many memories of what I have been told by my siblings and the stories of the ‘Good Old Days’ and road trips to visit Grandpa & Grandma Reiger Sometimes they would have the pleasure of Aunt Christina company along with a few of her children that went along for the visit
Patience was another virtue of Aunt Christina’s
I have a memory that stands out the most ....
It was a beautiful sunny day and best of all, it was
Easter Sunday at the Homestead of Auntie and Uncle’s
That meant seeing the wide open fields as we travelled to visit you could see for miles on those wide open Prairies ....I loved that spacious feeling
It was Easter Sunday and the Easter Bunny was extra special that year. We hunted for our Easter Bunny nests, wouldn’t you know it, the nests were made of edible puffed wheat cake in the shape of nests with a colourful assortment of super sweet Easter Bunny Eggs. What more could a child want?
Aunt Christina with the help of all the family had everything just perfect. From homemade smoked meats to preserves of all kinds and pasture raised chickens ....well I guess you could say homemade everything she was such a good cook We enjoyed every minute playing with our cousins It was like a perfect world!
As I grew up and had my own family, I got to really get an idea of some of the hardships that were there when Aunt Christina was growing up
She endured losing many siblings.....as a child
As we think of how hard that must have been, we can only imagine what it must have been like....
Along with the emotional pain there was the physical pain of having her leg broken and reset both times without the help of any pain killers ....
My, what a strong woman she had to be but she was just a child at that time and all that pain to handle. But through all that Aunt Christina always had that loving smile that would melt your heart
What a precious example Aunt Christina was to
All of Us!
We love you very much!!!
God Bless You Aunt Christina
And All Your Beautiful Family
