Vicki, Karen, Kelly, and families,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of your dear mother, Shari. A happy marriage, a wonderful family, and a loving home were just some of the great things she accomplished. With so many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her legacy will certainly live on.
Memories from Beechy are very vivid in my mind. Your mom and dad welcomed many people into their home and I consider myself fortunate to be one of those people. The kitchen table is where we gathered for Happy Hour, to watch curling, the Jays, or hockey on their little tv, and to play numerous games of Shanghai and Yahtzee. I can envision your mom sitting in her spot at the table where she could watch the traffic roll by, work on a crossword puzzle, or, in the early days, roll her cigarettes. Shari was skilled in the kitchen, always having homemade baking on hand, but my favourite were her buns - so delicious!!
My last visit with your mom on Feb. 3 was just like old times. Upon entering her apartment, she offered me a beer and some Cheezies which, of course, I accepted! We then proceeded to discuss the upcoming Scotties and get caught up on recent events in our lives.
Shari was an amazing lady who will be missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
