Obituary of Shari Dawn Dielschneider
Please share a memory of Shari to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Shari Dawn Dielschneider was born on August 6, 1933, in Rosetown, Saskatchewan to Tom and Myrtle Millard. She was the second youngest of four children.
Shari attended school until Grade 11, then she worked in the Anglia Store. At the age of 19 (1952) she married a grain buyer, Tony. Store business became their way of life. They had four children in Anglia.
Eight years later, Shari and Tony moved to Perdue, then Holdfast then to Allan where they bought a hotel. Hotel life proved to be a bit too much so it was back to store business. They moved to Harris, then to Beechy in 1963 where they settled for many years to come. Together they raised their children and ran the General Store for 25 years.
Shari was a stay-at-home mom until her kids were grown, then she worked in the store. She did some curling, was a member of the Homemakers and was a 4-H leader. She loved to cook, clean, sew, knit, do puzzles and play cards. Crib was her favorite.
Shari and Tony had grandchildren and loved to spend time with them before and after retirement. They did some traveling and continued with their hobbies. They enjoyed watching curling and Blue Jay games. Shari even got to see the Blue Jays play in June 2022 while in Toronto for her Granddaughter’s wedding.
In 2017, Shari and Tony moved to Hillcrest Lodge in Provost to be with Tony’s sisters and closer to family. They adapted well to the move, made new friends and welcomed family and old friends to their new, little abode.
Shari lost Tony and her youngest son, Dale in 2021, but she continued to be the strong, positive and loving person she always was. Shari suffered a severe stroke on February 6, 2023. Four weeks later on March 5, 2023, she passed away at the age of 89.
Shari is lovingly remembered by her family, Daughters, Vicki (Larry) Greenwood, Karen (Ben) Richardson and Kelly (Gary) Ward; grandchildren, Shawnda (Tom) Blacklock, Damon Klatt, Deon (Skye) Klatt; Jenna (Marcus) Mandel, Cole (Lisa) Richardson, Logan (Vanessa)Ward, Lucas (Kirby) Ward; great grandchildren, Madison (Nate), Max, Morgan, Finlay, Casey, Blayke, Rhett, Jade, Max, Marek and Magnis; and great great grandson, Winston. Shari will also be missed by her Brother, Loyd (Hilda) Millard; sisters in law, June Millard and Fran Dielschneider; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Shari was predeceased by her husband, Tony; son, Dale; as well as three of her siblings, most of her in-laws, numerous other relatives and friends.
For anyone who knew Shari, you know you are blessed to have her in your life – a truly beautiful soul.
