My first memory of Barry was at Primate church,I was just a kid and I noticed this tall guy with the moustache with Clarence and Armella. Right from the beginning he made and impression on me and who would have known that one day we would be brother in laws. We got along great right from the beginning , and I will always treasure the wealth of information he shared with me from gardening to farming, anything construction related and his views on religion,politics etc. together we could save the world Ha Ha.I thank him for the personal things we shared with each other, and thats where it stayed. A true friend.
Edie I know how much he loved you and often said how he hated that this disease was so hard on his family.
Corrine and Keri he loved you guys so much and would do anything for you. When you hurt he hurt, when you were happy he was happy. Shaun and Chris I wish you would have known Barry in his hayday , and the amount of energy he had and the things you would have been able to do together. Brett,Brooklyn and Kristen , ah the grand children. How special you were to Barry , whenever he spoke of you guys his eyes would light and his pride would show. When you raise your children, so much of your life goes into seeing that everyones needs are provided for , that sometimes you miss out on the little things. When grandchildren come along its like getting another shot at it and every little thing is what matters. So even if his health didn't allow him to do some of the things he wished, he enjoyed all the little things.
I believe that because of his families love that he was able to fight the beast for so many years. Barry has left an empty space in all our lives, but we can fill that space with his spirit.
From all of us Peggy,Rebecca and Jason,Collin,Bridget and Ayva, Adam,Kayley and Noah may you have peace in this time of sorrow.
