My sympathies to Imelda and the families. John welcomed me into the Kerrobert School Division No. 44 at my first teachers’ convention and from that introduction, he became my mentor and friend. R.I.P. John, beloved teacher and friend.

“The greatest tribute to those that have passed is not grief but gratitude.”
So, thank you Grandpa for everything-
~for being the beginning of our big, beautiful family
~for creating decades of memories with your children, grand children, and great grandchildren
~for showing us the true meaning of selflessness and unconditional love
~for always reminding us that family is the most important thing
~for teaching us about where we come from; whether that meant Germany or a farm just a few clicks away
~for proving that you’re never to old to have fun, and games aren’t just for the little ones
~for providing us with so many traditions that we can now continue to carry on in years to come in your memory
~for making sure we knew that no matter how far away life may take us, we can always come back home… and we should
I swear I could write a book about the man that was John Feser, and all that know him could likely attest to that. He was a teacher, a mayor, a coach, a role model, a father, a grandfather, and a hundred other things. Grandpa and Grandma created a big, wonderful family that I am so proud to have and I will never be able to thank them enough for. Grandpa is the example of how you can do anything you set your mind to as long as you give it everything you have, and your heart is in the right place.
Grandpa you will be so so missed- by your kids, your grandkids, your great grand kids, and all others who had the privilege of knowing you. Thank you for everything.

Mr. Feser was an incredible teacher and coach. He cared about his students as individuals as much as he cared about each of us doing well in our academic performance. He aimed to help create young people who were well rounded and respectful productuve citizens.
I learned a great deal from John feser about sportsmanship, determination and working hard to achieve your goals.
To John's wife and family I know you will miss him greatly but he left you a wonderful legacy.

Our sympathy to Imelda and family on your loss. We enjoyed our brief two years in Macklin and fondly remember John. He made us feel welcome and connected. He was passionate and compassionate in his beliefs for family, community, health care, education, sports and religion. How fitting that he passed away at St Joseph’s, where he was a pillar in supporting the community in its construction and operation. We appreciated John’s friendship, humour, wisdom and spirited nature. A life well lived and served.

Mr. Feser, never John, my respect for him just wouldn’t allow it, was just the most amazing man! I am sure I speak for anyone who went through high school in Macklin, if he taught you, he changed you! He gave me such a love for geography and history. He took the love for politics my dad lit and fed it year after year in his classroom. I can’t tell you how many times his words of wisdom still play in my head. “Have you done it? No? Why not? What could possibly be stopping you?” He never allowed excuses. Even as an adult, when you were lucky enough to visit with him, you got words of wisdom. I think we were at a ball tournament and some of us were complaining about our kids, and Mr. Feser said, “Well, I’ll tell you something, my generation had to work hard to be able to spoil our children. Your generation will have to work really hard NOT to spoil your children.” How true is that! He was such a positive influence on all his students, and on our entire community, he will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. My condolences to Imelda, Darryl, Deanna, Lynnsay, Lorne, Collin, Leah, Myron, Nancy, Monique, Carrie, and all of your families.
